A Proud History of Successful Teacher Training

With Essex Schools ITT you will be in safe hands. We are a highly experienced provider with a long tradition of successful teacher training.

Over 45 Placement Schools

Based at our Lead Partner School, Davenant Foundation School in Loughton (Essex), we work in partnership with over 45 placement schools in West Essex, Harlow, Herts, Chelmsford and Havering to provide both primary and secondary initial teacher training.

Tes Institute: the accredited ITT provider

We provide a very special, school based training experience and are a Lead Partner with Tes Institute (our accredited ITT provider), who have a reputation for innovative on-line learning materials, especially in shortage subjects, with its Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses. 

Top class outcomes

In 2023-24, our completion rate was 98% - well above the normal outcome for Initial Teacher Training programmes.

In every cohort, an average of 80% of trainees find teaching jobs before the end of the course; even more impressive, up to 75% of these are in partnership schools, which shows the strength of our network.
